Beard & Moustache Trim

Thirty minutes in the chair to set the shape of a beard back to where it ought to be. Not a shave — a trim, a line, and an oil for the beard you mean to keep.

What we do

We start by combing the beard out and listening to what you’ve been trying to do with it. We re-set the cheek line and the neck line with shears and a straight razor, take the bulk down where it’s heavy, and finish with a small amount of beard oil worked through with a comb. If the moustache has grown beyond your top lip, we’ll bring it back; if you keep it long, we’ll wax the ends.

Who it’s for

Men who keep a beard and want it to look kept. If your beard is shorter than a fortnight’s growth, you don’t need this — book the Hot-Towel Shave and a clean line instead. If your beard is longer than a hand’s breadth, we can still help; book ahead so we know the time.

Booking

Reserve a chair online, telephone the shop, or walk in after 3:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday. A beard trim pairs naturally with a haircut — booked together, the whole thing takes about an hour and ten minutes.

A short list of things we don’t do

• We don’t dye beards.
• We don’t braid beards.
• We don’t trim a beard you’d like trimmed in two minutes; we have a short queue and we do the work properly.
